My own interest in waterbeds started when my Sleep Number bed "died" on me. The mattress was leaking air and a replacement mattress was supposed to cost about $150.00.

At that time I wanted to find out more about waterbeds to see if I should spend the money on the Sleep Number Bed mattress or maybe even buy a waterbed. However - my research showed almost no independent information about waterbeds on the Internet. Everything I found were shops advertising waterbeds and waterbed accessories. There were no waterbed buying guides or stuff like that.
